Here is a photo of our new grain bin that was completed in July of 2006.  Special thanks to all the friends and neighbors who helped  with the project!

April 2007 soil finishing ripper ridges on last years compaction lanes

  Caught fish as fast as we could bait the hook.  Also got bread bag full of mushrooms. 

April 2007 rained 2.8 inches so we went to Grandpa Mac's.

April 2007 pulling the neighbors TO-20 tractor so he can bring it back to life one more time.

April 2007 Pulling trees out of creek that fell during Feb. ice  storm.

April 2008 no corn planted this month. Rain, rain, and more rain.

 

 

May 5th finally started planting corn.

 

August 1st finally get to haul beans to Cargill CR. Delayed from June because of flood.

 Last few days April  2007 we finally started planting corn. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jessica's first day planting beans, she did a lot better than I did my first day. She did have a good teacher. (HA HA.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

June 9th,The corn is all sprayed  for the final time. (What a struggle) Now it's in mother nature's hands.

 

 July 16 a beautiful  corn crop turned into the biggest mess that I have ever had. This field was one of our best standing fields. That's not saying much is it?  I would have taken more pictures at harvest but I didn't  want any more memories of this. We had to use a corn reel, and only go one way taking five rows. This was done on all but 150 acres.

Mid November, We can finally see the end of harvest.

 

 

Jessica and Ray on Ray's farm. We had a great day, 87 acres in 11 1/2 hours. They kept me very busy hauling but I was able to keep up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bought the wife a wrecked truck off internet auction for valentines day gift. Next time I'll buy flowers. After one month parts still on backorder from Ford and wife still can't believe I'm that (cheap)(dumb).
